KCSIE guidance advises that governing bodies must ensure they comply with their duties under legislation. Completing our Safeguarding for Governors Training supports governing bodies to understand these duties and best practice recommends renewing this training once every 2 years.

This 2 hour session is designed for Governors and Trustees who wish to undertake robust training to ensure understanding of their role and remit of safeguarding in their organisation.

Course content includes:

• Introducing guidance
• Child protection processes and procedures
• Roles and responsibilities of governors
• The categories of abuse
• An insight into inspection standards for safeguarding children
